COVID-19 and NCR-SARE Grant-Related Events

March 13, 2020

NCR-SARE has been hearing from many NCR-SARE grant recipients who had ambitious plans for outreach events this spring, wondering how to proceed given COVID-19 concerns.

Rest assured that our primary concern is your health and the health of your communities, and we advise you to follow the recommendations of your institutions or state departments of health for holding (or not holding) gatherings.

We realize this will throw off carefully constructed timelines, and you do not need to contact us for approval to change timelines. Once we all have a better idea of the duration of restrictions, you will be able to submit requests for grant extensions if needed. Information about No Cost Extension can be found here:

We know that you may also need to change the format, approach, or timing of your education, training, or other outreach programs and activities. You do not need our approval to make those changes, given the unique circumstances.

Our thoughts are with you and the entire SARE community of grantees and project participants as we move through the coming months.
