Wayne Martin is a Minnesota SARE State Co-Coordinator and an Extension educator in alternative livestock systems for University of Minnesota Extension. He provides information and education on poultry, sheep, lambs, pigs, and to some extent, cattle.

Kate Seager is a Minnesota SARE State Co-Coordinator and works for the Minnesota Institute for Sustainable Agriculture’s Information Exchange, which works to bridge the gap between the need for timely, practical information about sustainable agriculture and existing resources and information.


Since 1988, SARE has awarded numerous grants in every state and Island Protectorate. Aimed at advancing sustainable innovations, these grants add up to an impressive portfolio of sustainable agriculture efforts across the nation.
